Julian is an experienced IT Architect with 13 years of expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT architecture solutions that improve system performance, reduce downtime and align with the needed business goals. Skilled in researching and evaluating new technologies and tools to drive the innovation and improve system reliability. With a profound understanding of Azure services, he is specialized in creating cost-effective and automated cloud infrastructure. He is recognized as a Citrix Technology Professional and Parallels Very Important Professional with focus on Virtual Desktop infrastructure with the secure delivery of business applications. Beyond the professional sphere, his interests include traveling, meeting new people, exploring diverse cultures, savoring culinary delights worldwide and running a small micro-brewery.

After completing his high school diploma, he embarked on a journey to explore his affection for technology. He absolved an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for a managed service provider. At an early stage of Julian’s career path, he discovered his passion for infrastructure design combined with automation to deliver standardized solutions for medium and large organizations. This involves various technology stacks from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and HashiCorp. Over the years he expanded his knowledge and experience in various roles as a Systems Engineer, Senior Consultant and is working nowadays as an Azure Cloud Architect for Xebia Germany. His expertise encompasses cloud architecture, security and migration, empowering organizations to align with their business objectives using the ever-evolving Azure capabilities.

  1. Hi Julian
    nice website. I have a question about Citrix ADC and Cisco ACI. On the Citrix ADC I have 3 load balancing processes with different backend servers. If the backend servers want to communicate with each other, they should go through the firewall with aci and not directly through the ADC. But that doesn’t work. They communicate directly with each other. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
